Hi Terry,

I installed the Joomglossary component this morning. Looks like something I can use. I created a category and added a term, which I associated with the category (both are active). Then, I added a menu to my site's main menu using the JoomGlossary > Glossary View menu type and I selected the Joomglossary category. The new menu appears on the menu bar, but when I click, nothing happens. When I mouse over the menu, I see the base URL for my site (was expecting to see the Joomglossary category appended at the end). I'm thinking I either missed something in the setup, or something about my site configuration is causing the issue. If it would help, I can provide a list of plugins, but I'm not using many. I am running Joomla 3.6 on this site and am using the T3 template framework from Joomlart as the UI (in case that helps).

Thanks for the help.
Matt

Good morning Matt,

Thanks for submitting your request. The default menu system should generate the menu with no issues since my component in no way modifies that particular subsystem in Joomla. Really the only thing that my component does is utilize the default Joomla tabs system and add some categories to it manageable from the backend. I am not familiar with the T3 framework since I have never used it.

From the sound of things it sounds as if it may be a caching issue with your site. From the backend clear the site cache, you may also want to go into your menu and click the menu button to Rebuild the menu and see if that helps.

If none of that works I can check it out if you can give me admin rights and a link to the site. I haven't tested my component on J3.6.x as of yet and it may need some tweaking if there were any major changes since 3.5.

Thanks,
Terry

Terry,

Thanks for the troubleshooting ideas. I checked the site cache, but found it empty. I also tried rebuilding the menu, but that didn't seem to help either. I am starting to think it may have to do with J3.6. I tried installing another extension yesterday and ran into a similar issue.

Unfortunately, I can't share credentials for the site, as it's running in a development environment behind a corporate firewall.

I understand. It definitely sounds like a Joomla issue if a menu item is not being created correctly on the front end.
